
Alaska III: Fauna

I suppose since everyone keeps going on about this I should talk about animals. Fine, fine. I was going to talk about the summer solstice so far north, and having enough light to read at 11pm, but no. You’re just all so demanding. Ahem. So we saw lots of animals. It shouldn’t be that much of a surprise really since that was the purpose of the whole trip. To briefly catalog them we saw: Humpback whales, orcas, bald eagles, salmon, puffins, sea lions, sea otters, river otters, a porcupine, a baby moose, ravens, a grizzle bear and her two cubs, and lots of horseflies.
